Moments large and small have influenced Kate's work this Winter. Kate is currently working on a new larger mixed media piece, aiming to complete it in early Spring.

Frieze Magazine recently published an article exploring the question of "why paint", when technology has made creating incredible digital images easier than ever before. But as painter Ellen Altfest remarked "painting is a handmade process built over time and has a physical presence....There is a kind of alchemy that happens when the visual information moves from the eye or mind to the brush....Painting both represents the world and creates its own world."
