It is a challenging time to be in the arts, as it is for many vulnerable communities. New ways of being and doing are necessary simply to endure.
In lieu of shows until further notice, Kate is participating in the #artistsupportpledge on Instagram.
Under this simple programme, Kate is offering for a limited time the new small works she is making from her home studio at the pledge price; and for every £1000 in sales Kate herself makes, she is investing 20% of that into another artist's work.
#Artistsupportpledge is a worldwide movement to bring some stability to artists' livelihoods during this period, as well as transparency and more meaningful relationships to collectors. It was started by a single artist in Sussex, England, Matthew Burrows, and is based on a mentality of generosity and giving back, a cycle that is positive and meaningful on multiple levels.
The #artistsupportpledge has become a worldwide movement and has generated over £60 million in arts sales globally, directly to artists and makers, since its inception in mid March 2020.

Many of Kate's paintings that are over 30cm in dimension remain available for acquisition through the London-based gallery which represents Kate, After Nyne Contemporary, as well as on Artsy.net, 1stDibs, AAFOnline and Saatchi Online. Although operating with minimal personnel, to ensure the safety of all, artworks may be purchased through any of these avenues.
