International Women's Day Charity Auction 2021
At AOAP's request Kate created two original small works for the 2021 International Women's Day 'Art on a Postcard' charity auction conducted by Dreweatts auction house, from 25 Februray to 11 March. This initiative provided an opportunity to collect living artists' works in a small scale normally not possible, all in benefit of the The Hepatitis C Trust. Despite having to move the auction to an entirely online format this year it was a very successful event and raised over £62,000 to support the Trust's ongoing efforts. 468 original artworks were donated to this auction by artists throughout the United Kingdom.
Many thanks to Art On A Postcard for inviting Kate to participate, and also to Beatrix Ong MBE, for selecting Kate's works for Ong's 'top three' artworks picks in the auction.
The artworks Kate donated were sold at the auction, however you can still support the AOAP charity work through acquiring other works by many wonderful artists, including a box set of artist postcards (including one of Kate's works) here.
