Kate recently began working in three dimensions on a miniature scale as a new aspect of her painting. She has been creating a series of 2cm - 10cm painted maquettes (miniatures/models) sculptures from clay, painting and varnishing them to create finished works. First shown at Kate's Notting Hill solo show 'The Shape of Things', these are both experimental pieces as well as approachable works in and of themselves.
